So, any idea how the furries might factor into what's happening? Given that Brandon said one would be showing up?

Regarding Chicago: The reason we would go there is because the city is just starting, and we (myself, Greg, and Dave) are the only ones who know that it's gonna be huge. The logic follows that if we arrive there now (or within say 20 years for reasonable preparation) we will have almost no competition in setting ourselves up as the masters of the city. We would then not only have control of a city destined to become one of the world's greatest, but a great deal of influence in how it develops. This would grant us a rare chance to design many aspects of culture to our own liking. We could design dances and buildings. We could make up slang. An entire city as the canvass on which to paint.
We would also have a great deal of influence over the mob which will manifest in its most powerful form in Chicago.
Not to mention the fact that Chicago will be the nexus for all continental shipping for the next century or so. We will have control over who goes west, and that will make us VERY powerful. (I hesitate to mention this as a reason to go, since I don't think we can logically know that part (although it will become apparent in about 30 years))
The final reason is that this a chance to go from being medium fish in a huge pond, to big fish in a pond that is relatively the same size.
As for bringing over people, well:
Justin would put forth the following arguments to each person:
Jack is all for it
Eli: Being prince of Chicago would grant her power to strike at her sire, artistic license to design the culture of a city, and the promise of being the main attraction, instead of having to compete with a dozen toreador for it.
Dimitri: I guess Justin would advance either the idea that is safer for a tzimice to be in an absolutely friendly city (instead of dwelling some where, by the tolerance, or ignorance, of the prince), or simply make an appeal to Dimitri based on a hope of shared ambition.

I just hope they stay away for a long time. They aren't fun. One of my friends ran into one as a Hunter and nearly got one-shotted by it if he wasn't in a full party of them with level 4 edges and lots of XP.
Elly's opinion: Werewolves. DO NOT WANT.
Spoilers: None of us know he's a Tzimisce IC. Elly is going to be assuming he's either a Caitiff or otherwise, as asking what clan someone belongs to is considered a faux pas in the etiquette. If they're proud enough to mention it, that's how one finds out.

Oh yeah and on the subject of woofs. Well we would just need to avoid wandering into the wilderness, or being too brazen with our presence. The woofs aren't perfect vamp detectors, we can hide from them. We just have a little less room to do it in for the half century or so it'll take for Chicago to become a real metropolis.
Besides we have to fight one anyway.

I would say that we'd want to hit Chicago between 1840-1850 if we do go. Before then, it's probably too small to comfortably support 5 vampires; after then, it's already got a Kindred power structure.
So what's Scott's character pretending to be?

I actually think my character knows he's tzimice or at least suspects. He knows Dim does koldunic sorcery at least

So we've got a Tremere, a Koldunic sorceror, a Toreador who uses Chimerstry, another one who uses lots of Presence, and a Ventrue Necromancer who might be heading onto a path.
Sounds like it could be interesting.

Yeah, I'm really not pretending to be anything, I'm just not saying what I am. Even though as Peter said, his character is pretty sure.

Unfortunately, I will be absent for this Caturday's session on the 1st. I am visiting my old college and partaking in a medieval banquet with some very old friends.
As for what Prince Elly is up to, she may actually be needed in action, so the GM can NPC her if that's the case. Scott will have my sheet on hand, attached with some roleplaying notes.
If she is not needed, she will be working with her ghoul, Jane, on shoring up the Theatre and Art Gallery, fine-tuning productions, kinks, and attempting to acquire/commission pieces. Jane handles the paperwork while Elly does all the sweet-talking and schmoozing/ingratiating. Such an establishment will provide for a cultural center (and the art gallery would make for a perfect Elysium option.)
Protip: The theatre should be able to put on operas, musicals and plays, and perhaps a little ballet too. All-encompassing performance establishment.

Ok, I am going to post this early. Scott and Dave, for the next two saturdays we three will be the only members of the group to still be in town. Do you want to still meet up and play on Saturdays, or do you just want to wait until after break to get started again?

If you guys do decide to meet for the next two saturdays, here is a brief explanation for what Justin will be up to during that time.
Justin has decided, in part due to the assurances of our visitors that Jack is innocent and partly for old times sake, to allow Jack to escape. The whole events of the last few days have deeply shaken Justin's faith in the groups ability to run Chicago. While he still believes he can trust and depend on Eli and Dimitri, he has come to the conclusion that it is time to fortify the city more thoroughly. To that end Justin will: Begin feeding members of the Dupek squad his blood, he intends to ghoul them. The way he will do it is he will feed each of them a blood point on a different day, so that they can get their fill on different days. Considering how military force works, an army of ghouls could well be represented by a fifth dot in military force, if Brandon would like me to spend experience for this. Justin will blood bond the police chief and the newspaper editor. He will also blood bond the various dept chiefs in Chicago PD. Basically he wants to solidify his hold on the media, and the police. Justin will next begin to spread out his cult's membership, seeking recruits among the poor and disenfranchised of the city. He intends to use these poor souls both as a herd and a contacts network. (as well as a place to experiment on the nature of mortal magic and spirituality) (note: Justin will quickly begin to develop an emotional connection to these people, so he won't be throwing them into the fire). Justin considers Dimitri to be his closest current ally. Justin will maintain good contact with Dimi, and will be more then open to assist in any shenanigans.
If anyone has any issues with this, just contact me, and I will be more then happy to change some of it.
Of course if you guys decide not to meet for the next couple days, I will just do this in RP or in down time. (If it is done in RP, I will make sure it doesn't take long)

Elly literally has Solomon's dilemma on her hands. She believes that she has to do something, but one half of the baby is still undesirable to both sides.
In other words, is Jack a bloodhunt target? It depends on how everything plays out. The domain is the most important entity to protect, and its survival, as well as that of the Masquerade, is paramount.
Considering I have missed a few sessions recently, I would be interested in meeting on Saturday at least once, so as to catch up on some things. I do not know how much stuff will get done, but I am dead confident that Elly will be doing a lot of productive things, such as shoring up diplomatic relations with our new guests. Some sort of understanding is needed to ensure that things stay civil.
Protip: Elly doesn't like it when her friends fight. Expect her to be a bit peeved at this. Unity is everything. Division is destruction.
