Sorry for the semi last minute change, but I will not be able to attend this Caturday's session (12/8). I have waaayyy too much work to do for the next week, which was thrown on me last minute by my loving professors.
Jack Potts is practicing his dominate and participating in large-drunken-coke-orgies. All are welcome to attend.

I will be there. But should I stat out Anne or not? I managed to get every VtM book in print on a PDF torrent, so if peeps need books, I have my lappy there tomorrow.
And Elly will probably need the blood, so I expect her to go to one of the drunken coke orgies. But the ghoul can't become a cokehead! Elly needs her for more than just a hickey partner.

What Elly was up to for the past month:
She's been quite a busy lady with things. Generally available for other coterie mates, she's been expanding her social circles. The highbrow scene (thanks to impressing a few Toreador at the Ball) as well as the rave scene grew bigger as more doors opened with venues for her to schmooze and perform at.
As far as her dear Anne, it's taken a little while for Elly to realize what caring for a ghoul really means, as the Kindred state detached her from truly knowing how people can feel. It's much more than giving her servant two of her most desired things, blood and love, but also listening and bonding. Even so, Eliza has maintained her dominance in the relationship. Anne may be sleeping with the dealer of her drug of choice, but being spoiled rotten won't happen as far as master is concerned.
Her ghoul has been working to please her in aspects of handling daytime affairs and also assisting in performance-related endeavours, as well as learning more self-defense arts.
In order to develop more of a thick social skin, she nearly gave her sire a fit with the big risk of attending a few Brujah rants. Of course, this also meant dealing with Anarchs. She managed to avoid getting into fights with her carefully placed uses of Presence and a voice that carried serious weight behind veiled threats. Not bad for a 5'4", lightly built individual. Respect may not have been gained among the Brujah of London, but it was not lost. Safer methods of debate were indulged in by hanging out at coffeehouses and discussing ideas of the day. She didn't know as much as her opponents, but was able to turn their arguments back on them by using rhetorical tricks, winning some and losing some.
She knows not what happened to the Ravnos. Her sire has been pursuing it, but leads have been slim.

I hope everyone's semester ended nicely. The last day went of nicely and nothing major happened. Now your characters have a month off. During that time you gain 4xp. You can also exchange 3xp for 1 freebie point. This means that if you want backgrounds or merits. Don't try and buy disciplines with the freebie points, buy them normally. If you want to spend any points ask over the forums. Hope everyone has a good break and gets nice and rested for the Bel-Air.

As far as my dealings with the magical items. I wanted Dupek to show up and ask if there were any other items Ados had that I could exchange the information and scrolls for, like any protective gear, then weigh options.

Ados says he has plenty. In the way of protective items he mentions a bone amulet that will protect the wearer from magic. He also has a chain mail shirt that can stop even the magic throwing dagger you saw. The final one he shows you looks like a bullet proof armor vest. It stops even the strongest of bullets.
Ados also says that if you can be more specific he can show you more.

So what's the start-up date for the campaign, etc.?
There was one more thing I was going to attempt to do with Elly, if it's possible to shove that in.
That six-success mix I'd compiled and been sitting on; I was going to use it as a possible gateway to another source of income. Not necessarily a record deal, but an internet radio syndication deal. There are websites out there that pay decently for complete mixes (and the occasional original content) that rotate on a 24 hour non-stop basis. Sometimes they even get live sets done via webcast at popular venues. I know IRL that Armin van Buuren and other famous figures do live sets on internet radio every now and then.
This also keeps business relatively distant from home, and it also gives Anne more to do in terms of being a personal assistant. If the Bel-Air doesn't kill me, that may be the little bump I need OOC to better establish a contacts network and/or connections.
The only problem I could see would be that Elly has recorded some of her own voice samples. Her family and old boyfriend might catch wind of that, so she'll have to be careful.

I was hoping to start on the 19th. If that doesn't work for people I will start on the 26th. I am thinking same time and place as last semester.
Dave, your plan to have the extra-source of income sounds good. It is out of the way and will allow me to bring in other issues.

I'm ready to resume the campaign whenever. And since it's the "in" thing to do I guess I should specify what Justin has been up to. He spent the time first mastering the third dot of the spirit path (he bought it with experience at the end of the last session). After that he will split his time between dealing with the spirit world, and studying thaumaturgy.
He realizes at this point in time that the next major step in his mastery of thaum will be to reach the next level of his understanding of the art. (ie to raise his thaum to 5) This will allow him to begin mastering paths. He has nowhere near enough xp to do this, so it is a long term goal.
Among the things that Justin will do within spirit society is cozy up to the City Father. Represented by the three dots in mentor I picked up. I have some ideas about where I want this relationship to go, but between proving himself to the city father and studying thaum, there is no way Justin has time for anything else.
Finally: Justin has not actively pursued the mystery surrounding his mother during downtime, but he kept his ear to the ground for any news about her. He also maintained a good relationship with the spirit hound.
Also I downloaded every OWoD book ever. I'm going to be looking through them for more info on my characters dealing with spirits as the game progesses. (Of course I will run everything that Justin intends to do past my benevolent GM)
Sorry for posting this so late...... ----Peter Finally:

Now this is a story all 'bout how Our unlives got flip turned upside down And I'd like to take a minute just sit right there I'll tell you how we ended up 252 years in the past
In a field an hour from London, hell was raised It was Katherine, the elder we wished went away Sheriff told us it was a demon earlier that night But it was cutthroat bitch lookin for a fight
So us, Vanessa, and some mooks were up to no good We started makin trouble in her neighborhood We got in one little fight but Kat didn't get scared She just used Temporis and got us out of her hair
Jack whistled for his ride but it didn't come near Our cell phones had no service, plenty to fear Instead we got an old guy on horseback named Sir Vince He said we should probably go see the Prince
We pulled up to his place at about three or four And yelled to the horseman "Hey, thanks for the tour!" To look at our London, we were finally there. To rebuild our kingdoms 252 years 'ere.

Ok, as far what I want to invest Dupek's time in over our first jump. I want him to really work on his status within the city, so probably doing errands etc. for the prince and nosferatu primigen. On the side I want him to work with someone higher within the ranks of the Nosferatu as an ally/mentor, and to build up a contacts base.

I have decided where I want Elly's time to be invested during the jump. This does hinge on Elly getting in the good graces of London's Toreador Primogen, because while things may have gone ok with him earlier, they could have gone better.
Plan: Become a protege or otherwise find a way to gain patronage/support/etc. Because Elly does not have a mortal fanbase to please, she can start with Kindred society and get some mojo working there.
Besides, her knowledge of the Arts could allow her to play a "get there first" card on some of the major artistic breakthroughs concerning performance and the like. I'll probably have to make a roll on that one, but being able to impact kindred society (where that in turn trickles to kine society) would be epic. It'd also get some quid in her pockets so that she could live more comfortably.
Second, acquire a personal assistant. Not sure if it'll be male or female yet.
Third, provided the protege thing works, become an Elysium Regular and hopefully end up as a Harpy. Harpies have legendary power in the halls of Elysium. It'd be nuts to be one, and mad fun. Clan and Cam status is serious business, and that'd be more beneficial in the long run than having influence over morts, as fun as that may be. Having them dance on a string probably gets boring after a while anyway.
This means I'll probably be buying craploads of merits/disciplines provided I do the RP legwork to afford them. Some of them are expensive, so I may have to figure some things out.
I'll have a more detailed list of how I'll go about doing this later. For now, this is just the basic idea.

Stage one of Justin's super brilliant master plan.
Justin will approach the city-father and offer him a deal.
Justin will then withdraw from kindred society for awhile to finish attaining thaumaturgy 5. After that he will learn the 4th and 5th dots of the spirit path. He will also, in the process of this, study up to occult 5. Unless he runs out of XP, in which case he will still be in research by the time the time jump ends.
Justin will avoid direct contact with House Tremere as a policy, he knows how they treat "curiosities"
Finally since he will be contacting numerous spirits during the course of his research (note: Justin will stick to spirits that wouldn't kill him) he will take the opportunity to build up friendships and contacts with the spirit world. Particularly he will deal with spirits of knowledge, knowing that they will soon be strengthened in the coming industrial revolution. Perhaps not the most auspicious beginning, but hey every plan starts somewhere.

Hey guys, Chris is running a one-shot zombie session tomorrow in MGC from 3-8. Apparently anyone who wants to join in is welcome to, so I was wondering if you all wanted to do it.
I figure we can play Vamp from 12-3, and then migrate over to the one shot game.
In any case, I really want to give the one-shot a go.
