Recently I have been in contact with Professor David Kuijt, AUG's faculty advisor, who is a big fan of miniatures wargaming. Professor Kuijt has kindly offered to host an event aimed at teaching people to play the historical miniatures game De Bellis Antiquitatis (DBA). Wikipedia has a good description of the game: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/De_Bellis_AntiquitatisAnd the fantasy version of the game, which we could also play, is: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hordes_of_the_Things_%28game%29Professor Kuijt has all of the materials necessary for many people to learn the game. In order to get this event organized, we would like to get an estimate of how many people might be interested in trying it out. All you need to do is let us know you'd like to play by posting on this thread or sending an e-mail to the club. Then we'll send out an announcement about when and where the event is taking place. I played DBA at TriaDCon last semester, and it's quite fun. I encourage you to give it a try!
