I think I'll run a one shot this Saturday at gamers. I want to test out a new system and game I invented.
The game is explained in brief below. It will use what I'm calling the simplified d20 system. I'd like between 3-6 people.
Here is the game if you are interested:
Title: Between Heaven and Hell
Once you were angels dwelling in the glory of Heaven. But then you were banished from Heaven by the Lord God. You committed a monstrous sin, a sin that you can no longer even remember the details of. Now you walk the earth as fallen angels.
What will you do?
Will you attempt to return to the grace of God? To do so would seem impossible, for what mortal act could undo a sin that forced you from Heaven itself? Still they say the grace of God is endless, and perhaps there is a way to be redeemed. After all God would not abandon his first born. Still in pursuing this path beware, you are not the first angels to fall, and in the depths of Hell Samael rules. If you will not serve him he would destroy you, in vengeance for acts done at the beginning of time.
Will you fall further from God, and seek solace in the pits of Hell? Samael always looks for new servants. He would be more than willing to embrace you, if you prove your worth first. It is not hard to turn your back on God, and the rewards might be priceless. Still beware, those who follow this path must contend with blessed Azriel and his seraphim, the last of the heavenly host within the grace of God. Azriel, the angel of Death, will not stand idly by whilst you commit acts to stain your soul.
Will you walk in the twilight of Earth? An angel has powers far beyond those of mortal men.
With such power you could make a wondrous life on earth. Sex, money, power, and more could be yours. You don't need to sign your soul away to anyone either. You've had an eternity of service, perhaps it's time to be free. Still know that freedom is not easily achieved. You must forever hide from the sight of devils who would drag you to Hell, and the Seraphim who might take offense to your new freedom.
Now, in the gray between heaven and hell, your destiny is in your hands. Make your decision, and remember..........God is watching.
